Water mitigation claims reported directly to Safeco will be assigned mitigation services immediately based on the best-performing and most available vendor in the policyholder’s ZIP code.

Ask customers to make emergency repairs to prevent further damage to their property if they are able to do so safely.

If there is wind damage to the roof, we recommend having a contractor cover damaged areas only with a tarp. Please advise clients to save receipts for these emergency repairs.
To avoid coverage complications, please advise policyholders to wait until we’ve assessed the damage before making permanent repairs. However, we encourage customers to begin the screening process prior to hiring a contractor.
